About Dr. Cheryl Williams-Jackson

Hello, I’m Dr. Cheryl Williams-Jackson—

A current professor, coach, consultant and a past therapist with a deep passion for helping organizations and their teams foster trauma-informed practices, resilience, equity, and wellness. With nearly three decades of experience, I’ve seen firsthand the toll that burnout, compassion fatigue, and inequitable systems can take on helping professionals. My mission is to equip organizations with the tools and strategies they need to create healthier, more supportive environments where both individuals and missions thrive.   

My journey began with a love for education and psychology, earning a Master’s in Educational Psychology and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from an APA-accredited institution. Over the years, I’ve blended this expertise with certifications in business and life coaching to create unique, actionable solutions for organizational challenges.

One of my proudest achievements is developing the STRENGTH Framework and ELEVATE Consulting Method—innovative, trauma-informed, equity-centered and resilience-focused approaches that address challenges like workplace stress and burnout, racial toxicity, and disengagement. Through my workshops, consulting programs, and certification training, I’ve had the privilege of guiding countless organizations and helping professionals toward lasting transformation.  

When I’m not coaching or consulting, you’ll find me outdoors, pedaling my way through trails, or immersed in a nonfiction book (earning me the nickname ‘The Vault’). These moments of reflection fuel my commitment to creating sustainable, impactful change for the clients I serve.

Is it finding inner peace, improving your physical health, or nurturing your creativity? Make a list of your answers and look for patterns. Identify the values or goals they share. This exercise will help you clarify your mission in self-care. Once you understand your purpose, you can align your self-care activities accordingly.

What energizes you? Is it practicing yoga, spending time in nature, or engaging in creative pursuits? Once you’ve identified your passion, infuse it into your self-care practices. Find ways to incorporate activities that align with your passion, whether it’s through a hobby, a new skill, or simply dedicating more time to what you love.
